CONTENTS OF THE COURSE
The course Yoga in the Treatment of Depression is an Intensive Course of 16 hours duration, imparted in two days. This course integrates both theoretical and practical sessions designed to offer a comprehensive and in-depth understanding.
The theoretical section of this course will investigate the causes of depression described in yogic psychology and philosophy, as well as the mechanisms responsible of their symptomatic manifestation.
Another strong point of focus will be the exposition and examination of the latest scientific findings of research investigating the effects of yogic practices in depressive disorders.
In the practical part, students will learn how to practice and implement -in personal and clinical settings- the yogic techniques prescribed for the treatment of depression and related disorders. Each of the taught practices will be accompanied by a detailed examination of its effect and mechanisms.
CERTIFICATION
All participants will be awarded at the completion of the program with the IYC Certificate of the course Yoga in the Treatment of Depression, officially issued by PRAMANA INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE.
