This two-day intensive course offers a focused exploration of yoga as a supportive and effective approach to women’s health across different stages of life. Tailored for yoga practitioners, teachers, health professionals, and women seeking natural ways to manage their well-being, the course addresses common female health concerns—including menstrual discomfort, hormonal imbalances, PCOS, and menopause—through the lens of classical yoga. Participants will learn specific yogic practices that promote balance, vitality, and resilience in the female body and mind.

Course Highlights

Understand the yogic perspective on the female body, cycles, and health.

Learn targeted yogic practices for managing menstrual pain, PCOS, and menopausal symptoms.

Explore the connection between hormonal balance, the nervous system, and yogic techniques.

Gain practical tools to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being throughout the different phases of womanhood.

Yoga offers a time-tested system of knowledge and practice that respects the unique physiological and psychological needs of women. In contrast to general fitness approaches, yoga considers the cyclic nature of female health, aiming to restore internal harmony and strengthen adaptive capacity. This course provides a clear and supportive introduction to how classical yogic techniques—when thoughtfully adapted—can help regulate hormonal function, relieve pain, improve emotional balance, and empower women to care for their own health with sensitivity and awareness.

Women experiencing health challenges such as menstrual discomfort, hormonal irregularities, PCOS, or menopause.
Yoga Teachers and Practitioners wishing to deepen their understanding of women’s health within the yogic framework.

CONTENTS OF THE COURSE

The intensive course Women’s Health and Yoga consists of 16 hours of training conducted over two days. It combines theoretical study with practical sessions to offer a comprehensive, sensitive, and experience-based learning environment.

The theoretical section explores the yogic view of female physiology and reproductive health, with attention to the roles of the endocrine and nervous systems. Topics include the effects of yoga on menstrual health, PCOS, fertility, and menopause, as well as lifestyle and energetic principles from yogic philosophy that support overall well-being in women.

The practical sessions include tailored āsana sequences, prānāyāma, purification techniques and relaxation practices selected to address specific female health concerns. Emphasis is placed on gentleness, adaptability, and body awareness. Practices are taught with modifications suitable for various conditions, and each is accompanied by a clear explanation of its purpose, benefits, and appropriate use. The course also provides guidance on creating a yoga routine that supports cyclical needs, emotional balance, and long-term health.

CERTIFICATION

All participants will be awarded at the completion of the program with the IYC Certificate of the course Women’s Health and Yoga , officially issued by PRAMANA INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE.
