This intensive yoga course offers a comprehensive introduction to kriyās—the traditional yogic techniques of internal cleansing and purification. Designed for yoga practitioners, teachers, health-conscious individuals, and those seeking to improve their physical and mental well-being, this course explores the theory and practice of yogic detox methods. Participants will gain direct experience with selected kriyās, understand their purpose and function, and learn how to safely incorporate them into personal routines for enhanced vitality and balance.

Course Highlights

Learn the philosophical and physiological foundations of yogic purification.

Understand the function of kriyās in detoxifying the body and clarifying the mind.

Explore practical techniques such as jala neti, kapālabhāti, and trāṭaka.

Receive detailed guidance for safe, effective, and gradual implementation of kriyās in daily life.

In the yogic tradition, purification of the body and mind is considered essential for health, clarity, and spiritual growth. The shatkarma or six classical cleansing techniques are foundational practices in Hatha Yoga, aimed at removing physical toxins, balancing internal systems, and preparing the body for deeper practices like pranayama and meditation. This course introduces the purpose, benefits, and correct method of essential kriyās, offering a reliable and structured approach for those wishing to begin or deepen their understanding of yogic purification.

THIS COURSE IS ADDRESSED TO

Yoga practitioners interested in learning authentic yogic cleansing techniques.
Individuals seeking to improve digestion, respiratory health, and mental clarity through natural methods.
Yoga teachers wishing to expand their knowledge and safely guide students in kriyā practice.
Health-conscious individuals looking to integrate effective yogic detox practices into their lifestyle.

CONTENTS OF THE COURSE

Kriyas: Yogic Techniques of Purification and Detox is a IYC of 16 hours of training delivered in two days, integrating theoretical foundations with direct experiential learning.

The theoretical section introduces the shatkarma system of Hatha Yoga, detailing the rationale, classification, and benefits of each cleansing technique. Participants will study the impact of kriyās on the digestive, respiratory, and nervous systems, as well as their role in regulating the subtle energies (prana) and preparing the practitioner for higher yogic disciplines.

The practical component offers step-by-step instruction and supervised practice of selected kriyās, including jala neti (nasal cleansing), kapālabhāti (cleansing breath), trātaka (concentrated gazing), and introductory forms of naulī and dhauti, as appropriate. Emphasis is placed on safety, gradual progression, and proper technique. Participants will also receive guidance on when and how to practice each kriyā, contraindications, and how to integrate these techniques into their daily or seasonal health routines.

CERTIFICATION

All participants will be awarded at the completion of the program with the IYC Certificate of the course Kriyas: Yogic Techniques of Purification and Detox, officially issued by PRAMANA INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE.
