CONTENT OF THE COURSE
The IYC Applied Yoga for Neck and Back Wellness includes 15 hours of intensive training delivered over two days. Integrating theoretical insights with hands-on practice, the course is designed to provide both knowledge and experience for addressing spinal health through yoga.
theory
The theoretical section explores the yogic view of the spine and posture, as well as an introduction to functional anatomy of the neck and back. Participants will learn about common causes of pain, discomfort, and dysfunction in these regions, and how specific yogic techniques can aid in their correction and prevention.
The practical sessions will focus on carefully designed sequences that strengthen spinal muscles, increase flexibility, and promote proper alignment. Practices will include therapeutic āsanas (postures), breath regulation techniques, and gentle movement flows specifically adapted for neck and back care. Each technique will be explained in detail with its purpose and mode of action, ensuring participants gain confidence in applying them independently or in teaching contexts.
